This beautiful and delicious three-color dessert is here to stay and to surprise your family at any dinner or lunch! A third of the batter stays plain, a third is mixed with chocolate syrup + vanilla, and the last third gets strawberry syrup.
1 box white cake mix
1 c. water
1/3 c. (5 tbsp.) melted butter
3 egg whites
2 tbsp. strawberry syrup
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 c. chocolate syrup
FOR THE GANACHE
3/4 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350° and grease a bundt pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat cake mix, water, butter, and eggs. Pour ⅓ mixture batter into prepared bundt pan.
Divide remaining mixture in half. Stir food coloring and strawberry extract into one half and pour over white batter in pan.
Stir vanilla and chocolate sauce into remaining half and pour over strawberry batter.
Bake until a toothpick inserted middle of cake comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Let cool in pan 15 minutes before inverting onto wire rack to cool completely.
Meanwhile, make ganache: In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring cream to a simmer. Turn off heat, then pour over chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
Pour ganache over cooled cake before serving.
